SMOKERS POINT is a new project dedicated to respect for the environment and people.
The CASTELSARDO MARINA JOINS THE RE-CIG PROJECT.
How does it work? Used cigarette butts are collected in specific containers and then sorted, sanitized and regenerated through a patented process that eliminates harmful substances.
The resulting material is formed of recycled cellulose acetate, which is then transformed into new sustainable products such as street furniture, accessories and technical components.
In this way, highly pollutant waste products become a new resource within a circular economy model.
This initiative represents a further step towards an increasingly cleaner, more welcoming and more sustainable harbour, in which even a small gesture like properly disposing of a cigarette butt becomes a tangible act of respect for the sea and for those who live it every day.

To ensure the protection of the marine environment and provide maximum convenience for our guests, Marina di Castelsardo offers a practical bilge water disposal trolley, available free of charge.
